The First Kingussie
Food on Film Festival was
launched in February 2008 in the midst of a ferocious snow
blizzard, and declared a great success by all who fought their
way through to attend!
This innovative new
annual festival provides a unique opportunity for people of all
ages to gather here in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and
celebrate everyone’s favourite winter pastimes - eating
delicious food and watching films.
The festival is unique in
the UK in the way the two are combined, with an exciting Indoor
Food Hall and cookery demonstrations providing a great
interactive contrast to the great selection of films - features,
documentaries, short films - thoughtful, funny, serious,
entertaining, challenging - and all the films have food as a
strong theme.
Next year all the market
stallholders will be coming back, as well as many more who will
be joining us for the first time, and there will be a very
special advance ticket Sunday lunch with films.
